The benefits to having a blog on your website is numerous and range from increased visibility to having contented customers. Think of it: If you have a post dedicated to solving a particular problem on your  blog ,chances are your potential customers would have read it and that will reduce call complaint to your help desk.

So having a blog is a great for your business but the truth is;often times you will be struck with having something to write about on your blog.

If you ever get struck in that situation, here are practical tips on

how you can come up with a blog post idea anytime

 

Revisit old Articles

If you have some content on your blog already, going way back to the past is a great source of inspiration for new blog post. Take a look at some of the articles you have written on your blog. Is there a new update that can serve as a new angle to that story or is there a segment of the bog post that can be turned into a new article? Often time on our bog, we have stories like ‘Top 10 List of …” If possible, take a single point of such great list and turn it into sometime spectacular for your blog readers. Keyword research

Blog post ideals often start with carrying out what is known as a keyword research. In traditional and digital marketing, keywords are buss words that people use when talking about an industry, services or product online.  When doing keyword research, you want to look at what people are searching for using words that relates to your industry. There are lot of ways to do Keyword research and various keyword research tools are available both premium and free.  One free tools which is accurate, that anyone can use is the Google Keyword planner tool. When you enter a word or your website into the search menu bar in Google Keyword planner tools, Google returns a set of words or phrase that people have used in relations to your products or services. Look at these words and see if you can come up with content for a blog post using one or more combination of the phrases.
 
Competitor’s blog

In an ever increasing competitive world, learning how to use our competitor’s strength and weakness often help us gain an upper hand. So learning to analysis your competitors is a skill that you must master to survive in the business world. Want ideas you can use to generate a blog post and not sure where to look? Take a ride back to your competitor’s blog and see what topics they have written about. Chances are that they have written about topics that are of interest to your industry. So take a cue from them and see if you can write a better blog post on the topic, write new angles or simply present an opposing view to what has already been written.

                                                      The only rule of thumb remains this:

Avoid copying content directly from anyone even your competitors.
 
Customer feedback

When you have a business blog, you want to have resources that can help your customers understand how your products works and solve common problems that are associated with the use your products and services. In fact, what you normally should do is have a huge blog series that address these issues. Getting customer feedback which you can turn into blog post is a valuable investment that every business should make. Take a look at Godaddy’s support page. They already have tons of answers for practically every kind of problem you can have and how to solve them when you use their products.
 
Online communities

Online communities are a great place to find new blog post ideas. This is because people normally join this kind of communities to get answers to problems and issues they are having and if someone ask a question, chances are there are literally thousands of other people seeking answers to the same question. That is whye belonging to online communities that are related to your industry or partner industry is crucial. On most of these forums, you can find questions that people asked and no one is providing a satisfactory answer. If you can answer it, use the idea to generate a blog post for your website.

Flash pans ideas are ideas that just pop into your head any time of the day. This is why it is important find a way to keep records of these ideas. This ideas are sometimes triggers as a result of input from information we soaked in during the normal cause of the day. If you have formed an habit of writing these thoughts down, taking a look at these ideas can give you an inspiration that you can use to come up with a blog post.
